Army mess tents are so special to a soldier in combat. Just to grab a hot cup of coffee and eat off a plate was a touch of home.

Scene depicts a 5th Mechanized Division Mess Tent near the Demilitarized Zone in Quang Tri, Vietnam in 1968. I salute them all for serving the best meals possible under some pretty rough conditions. These guys were combat ready all the time but always made you feel at home.
Watermark will not appear on purchased prints.
